Dr. Ravi Sutaria has completed his fellowship in Investigative Rheumatology at the Yale University School of Medicine / Yale New Haven Hospital. Prior to joining Yale, he was a clinical instructor of medicine at Jacobi Medical Center at North Central Bronx Hospital during his time as a hospitalist. He completed his internal medicine residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn.
Dr. Sutaria has stayed active in academics, publishing in various peer reviewed journals on interesting topics and cases in Rheumatology. He has conducted the online Rheumatology lecture series for the Yale School of Medicine Physician Assistance Program. He is also author of multiple chapters in the 2018 published textbook Musculoskeletal Sports and Spine Disorders.
He is certified in interventional / diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, having trained under the departments of Radiology, Orthopedics, and Rheumatology at Yale. He has completed various Ultrasound training courses, including USSONAR, the Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists.
He is now booking patients to be seen immediately, specializing in arthritis, rheumatism and connective tissue disease. He has particular interest is musculoskeletal ultrasound and offers these services on site. Our clinic is also accepting walk-in patients.
Dr. Sutaria is joined by his wife and two children, and is very grateful to be able to be practicing again in his hometown community. He is looking forward to working closely with internists & specialists in the area to bring the highest quality, coordinated care to our patients.
Dr. Rakhi Sutaria completed her residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Montefiore Medical Center Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, serving as chief resident in her final year. She continued at the program to complete her Sports Medicine fellowship with a focus on interventional and diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound.
She is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist whose practice is devoted to using non-operative treatments of musculoskeletal disorders. Treatments involve an effort to combine multiple therapies including but not limited to exercise, medication, physical therapy and injections to provide maximum effectiveness and success.
Dr. Sutaria's special interests include peripheral joint injections under ultrasound. She also performs trigger point injections, nerve blocks, viscosupplementation knee injections and tendon/sheath ligament injections in the office for pain relief. The office also conducts electrodiagnostic testing and nerve conduction studies to evaluate the status of peripheral nerves and muscles.
After practicing PM&R in Connecticut for the past few years, Dr. Sutaria is very grateful to be able to be practicing again in her hometown community. She is looking forward to working closely with internists and specialists in the area to bring the highest quality, coordinated care to our patients.
